We believe in data minimization. Markdownizer is designed so that readable page text is tokenized locally in your browser before conversion.

• Web Content: To convert a page into Markdown, the extension temporarily accesses the content of the active tab. Readable page text is tokenized locally and is not sent to our servers as readable text.
• Structural Conversion Data: Markdownizer sends a structural page skeleton to the backend so the service can convert structure into Markdown. This structural payload may still include non-text page elements such as links, image references, and other HTML attributes.
• Operational Data: We collect limited operational data needed to run, secure, and improve the service. This may include an anonymous user identifier, request size, output size, conversion duration, failure or status information, extraction strategy, and IP address.
• What We Do Not Store For Analytics: We do not store readable page text, final Markdown output, full page URLs, or raw HTML skeletons in our analytics data.
